Xcel Energy celebrates National Lineworker Appreciation Day 2020
Proven and essential first-responders adapt to new challenges.
Throughout these unprecedented times, lineworkers consistently do what they do best: maintain critical power sources by keeping them running and updated. While much of society locked down, they geared up to work -- in all conditions. Lineworkers respond to outages, storm damage and other issues, whether on local feeder lines in backyards or on huge transmission lines all across the electric grid. Good reasons to #ThankALineworker and be #XEProud on social media.
July 10 marks National Lineworker Appreciation Day. Xcel Energy is joining with the Edison Electric Institute, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, National Electrical Contractors Association and Utility Workers Union of America to celebrate a joint resolution from Congress to officially recognize National Lineworker Appreciation Day.
